Dr. FinkelsteinTo develop the best products for our customers, we closely collaborate with experts in the orthopedic field. Among them is Dr. Finkelstein, a Berlin orthopedist. Dr. Matthias Finkelstein, Doctor for Orthopedics and Traumatology is one of the reasons pedag orthotic insoles are the best in the world. Improve Foot HealthMany of our products have been awarded the APMA Seal for promoting foot health.
The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) awards the Seal of Acceptance to products found to promote good foot health. To earn the seal, each product is reviewed by a group of APMA podiatrists to ensure it promotes foot health. The committee also looks at information on the product’s safety, quality control, and other data.
The value of the Seal of Acceptance is twofold. First, and foremost, it is the goal of the APMA to provide information for podiatric physicians and their patients, and for the general public, to ensure that they can make the best possible decisions regarding foot health. Because podiatrists (doctors of podiatric medicine) provide the majority of all foot care services rendered in the nation, the APMA has accepted the responsibility of informing Americans of the importance of recognizing and maintaining comfortable foot health. The secondary goal of the APMA is to raise awareness by identifying products of exceptional quality that are manufactured with the consumer's comfort and safety in mind.
Shoe careNot only do we carefully choose raw materials like leather and wood, our shoe care products also focus on using natural raw materials like lanolin, carnauba and bee's waxes. These materials are environmentally friendly and their benefits in shoe care have been known for a long time. Sustainability and environmental protection are key issues for pedag®. With that in mind, we developed the first eco-friendly waterproofer and give priority to water-based, solvent-free products.
Climate membranesOur shoe care and insoles are also suitable for climate membranes such as Gore-Tex, Sympatex etc. This means that our products do not block the air permeability of the fabric membranes. Instead, our insoles and shoe care work cooperatively with climate membranes to maintain a healthy environment inside shoes and boots.
